Description:

Operates dishwasher to properly clean all china ware, silver ware and cooking utensils used in the kitchens, restaurants and bars. Scrubs pots. Re-stocks all supplies in the assigned areas. General kitchen cleaning duties including the cleaning and mopping of kitchen floors and trash removal. Transport clean service ware and allocate in accordance with event order to supply the function or restaurant.

Duties:

«  Responsible for ensuring that all china, glassware, silver and kitchen equipment is properly sanitized, washed, racked, stored or re-stocked

«  Is careful to avoid breakage when handling all equipment, china, glass and silver

«  Seeks out work as each task is completed and works at fast, and safe, pace

«  Helps to maintain all par levels for china, glass, silver, cleaning supplies and all other necessary equipment to effectively operate the Food & Beverage department

«  Closely monitors the kitchen line(s) and restocks plates and other culinary supplies before they run out of these items

«  Promptly empties trash cans before they are totally full

«  Pulls any silverware, or other equipment, out of the trash to help save the department money

«  Oversees the compliance of state health regulations in regard to kitchen cleanliness, sanitation storage of all kitchen items

«  Adheres to all Grand Beach Hotel standards by monitoring the quality of china, glass and silver and pulling any broken or damaged pieces from inventory

«  Practices "clean as you go" techniques that ensure all kitchens, dish rooms, storage and heart-of-the-house areas are both clean and safe

«  Properly maintains all dish machines, burnishing equipment, floor machines, etc;  Follows procedures for the correct use of all equipment and supplies

Qualifications:

Ability to work as part of a dynamic team to consistently deliver a quality product

«  Able to communicate in English - Required

«  High school diploma or equivalent - Preferred

«  1-3 years experience in a stewarding or culinary capacity - Preferred

«  Current certification in state Professional Food Handler Program - Preferred

«  Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Able to handle objects, reach with arms and hands, stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time; Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, pull, bend, stoop, and perform upward reaching for an extended period of time

«  Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications

«  Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company asset
